National Emblem
The emblem comprises two distinguishing elements: an outline of Australia and the stars of the southern cross. The outline of Australia indicates that the Order is a national organisation based in Australia. The stars of the southern cross is symbolic of the Order’s location in the southern hemisphere.
The outline of Australia is encircled by the name, Knights of the Southern Cross. Two laurel branches sit at the base of the encircled outline of Australia.
